| [atrb=background,http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk119/clackno1/ezramid.png]every time he entered this land he regretted it with the first step he took. the weather was just horrid, he couldn't already feel the wind smacking against his hide and whistling in his ears. it would only become ten times worse at the peak, and he was starting to dread the journey. every time he did this, however, he always made the journey, and at the top it was always worth it to see the view. he didn't make the trip to the bluff often, and for good reason. he didn't live too close, and just going off of rhazorn land was rare in and of itself. he did every once and while, but it was even rarer for him to go the wailing bluff. just the name made him contemplate whether to go or not.
but here he was, standing at the base with a slippery, rocky slope in front of him. it was climb, but he'd done it before. it was good exercise, and the view was completely worth it. it was slow going, and he took his time with it. the sky above was cloudy, he dearly hoped it wouldn't rain. if there was a mudslide or a rock slide on this slope and he was caught in it he'd probably break a leg, if not worse. despite the summer air, the wind was chilling him quickly, and very soon it was likely his thick hide would become numb. he hooves had trouble finding safe places to step, but he kept his pillars moving at a good pace. his ears pressed back to try and get some of the howling wind out, but it was little use. the screams of the wind would be his only company during this trip.
he paused after a bit of walking for a rest a relatively flat piece of ground to catch his breath. he already wanted to go home, but ezra wasn't one to give up so easily. though he could never forget the amazing view from atop the bluff, it was always nice to refresh his memory, and the real thing was nothing like an image in his mind; it was so much better.

[th][cs=3][rs=3][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,400][bg=3b3746] R U E what doesn't makes sense about me; makes sense when i'm with you. |
[/i][/font] She wasn’t sure what to think anymore. Rue shifted uncomfortably in her spot as she pondered on the thoughts that kept rapidly turning in her head. The tainted mare had just returned to the bluff after her short encounter with the new dark king, and apart from his damn good looks she didn’t know what to think of the onyx stallion. Sure he hadn’t been what she expected and certainly wasn’t a bore but was he someone she would find herself wanted to run into again or just another king that she would lay low under until the right time came around. Auds flicked with irritation not only from her confused emotions but for the fact that she was thinking about him. None the less Rue shifted, heavy eyes pulling away from the ground to look out on the open territory. She was found of this place, the icy cold air fit her temperature well. She had always enjoyed the cool air rather than the sticky humidity of summer days which is why the mare spent most of her time here.
Auds flicked on their platform at the rhythmic pattern of approaching steps. Eyes searched carefully for the nearing figure; features casting a cold glare in the stallion direction. oh goody just what I wanted she thought eyes rolling in their sockets as the mare stepped forward. He was cute dark flesh accented by the blond mane and tail that traced his body in a stunning way. Skull tilted slightly as she examined the approaching creatures only to be caught shy as he stopped in his advance standing blindly just down the hill from her. A low mutter turned in the mare’s chest as she stepped down from her arch using sluggish movements to carry her closer to the male. Her features remained emotionless cold giving him not even a clue as to what to expect from the mare.
lost darling, or do you just not have what it takes to make it up here? Her voice was cold and harsh as she paused just a few feet from the stallion. Cords flicked carefully around her tracing the creases in her flesh before finding their way back in place. A hello would never do for her, Rue always had to have a smart ass comment with her approach, just as she had with the king. Auds twitched as the cold air caressed the mountain side producing a low hum as it rounded the rocky corners to slap against her side. Whats your name son, she questioned looking away as if it was someone else who had spoken.

| [atrb=background,http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk119/clackno1/ezramid.png]he didn't notice the other presence at first, the wind whipping by him so fast he couldn't catch any scents and smaller sounds were carried away. he was too preoccupied with his cold feet to really pay that much attention to his surroundings anyway. he couldn't keep them still, the cold rock would freeze them from below and he couldn't go anywhere with numb hooves. he couldn't trust them to carry him up a treacherous cliff. the only solution really was to either keep going or turn back, and he wasn't about to do the latter. with a stubborn snort he turned to continue his way up, but another horse had suddenly appeared to block his way. a pretty little mare, one he wouldn't expect to see on the bluff, but he supposed he couldn't simply judge her like that. heck, there was a whole dominion of strong willed mares.
he wasn't quite sure what to make of her until she opened her mouth and lyrics came flooding towards his auds. he did manage to catch what she'd said before the wind carried it off somewhere else, but it really just confused him more. a sassy one huh. he wasn't too good at dealing with those, he liked the kind, quiet, shy ones better. much easier to get along with. still, a little fire could be good every now and then he supposed. as long as it wasn't directed at him. "lost? miss, i'm quite confident i know this island better than you do. i'm just taking my time is all." he didn't recognize her so she was likely a new comer, one of the other three dominions. angletus seemed unlikely, and faerival and exhaltia both appeared to be good options from what he'd seen of her so far.
son? what was she trying to pull, he saw no signs of her age being over five. she was either about the same age or younger than him, he definitely could not be her "son", and he found the term degrading. he wasn't a colt anymore. "ezra. and you, love?" he said, slightly peeved but still trying to be polite. it was no use fighting against sassy girls, he wasn't keen to make her angry. standing motionless in this wind was brutal, though, and he wasn't enjoying it or the start of this conversation much. she was a lovely doe, and he hoped she was just as lovely on the inside as well. he didn't do good with mean girls.
"my dear, if you would like to continue this conversation might you be willing to walk and talk? i am eager to reach the top." he moved around her to continue climbing up the bluff, flicking his tail against his chilled hide. she could accompany him if she wanted, he would never refuse the company of a lady and he would never be rude to one. when he come across her she could have either been moving up or down the slope. if she did end their conversation he would not object. her first impression on him had not been very good.
